Welcome to 6C from Mr Cooper, Mrs Sikora and Miss Fallon.
We hope you had a lovely holiday.
Our exciting topic this half term is 'Castles'. We will be looking at different types of medieval castles, where castles are built and how to storm a castle. Please see the booklet below for more details.
Happy New Year! I hope you have all had a lovely holiday.
Our current theme is:
This unit is a geography led unit. We will be identifying countries of the world and finding out where popular volcanoes are situated as well as finding out where famous earthquakes have occurred. We will then use this knowledge to try and suggest why these natural disasters take place. For more information, have a look at our parent booklet.
This half term our topic is 'Tudors'. We will be thinking about what life was like in Tudor times including the houses they lived in, the food they eat and the things they did for fun. Tudors will also be the focus of our English work, thinking about writing stories with historical settings and writing non-chronological reports about aspects of Tudor life. Please see below for more information about this.
Hope you all had a lovely summer and are ready for year 6.
We will start this year by learning about our inspirational person - Martin Luther King Jnr.
We will be researching who he is, why he is inspirational and what we can learn from him.
Our topic this half term is 'Conflict'. We will be comparing conflicts through history up to the present day and investigating the changing relationships between countries.
